Why use a forum?
The Linux community brings together people around the world who share their knowledge and help one another. If you run into a problem, a forum is a good place to ask a question, share your experience or help other users.
How to ask a good question
If you want to get a useful answer more quickly, explain as clearly as possible what you are trying to do and what happened.
- mention your Linux distribution and version,
- describe what you were trying to do,
- include the exact error message if one appears,
- say what you have already tried.
Linuxabc tip
Before posting a screenshot or terminal output, check that it does not reveal passwords, personal information or other sensitive data.
